Before Calibration
After Calibration
You have just spent hard earned money on a new home theater video display/TV. So, why don’t your movies or sports shows look as good as the cinema version or real life sports events? Why do the flesh tones look strange, grays look black or grass look blue? The answer is that TV manufacturers and retailers adjust their displays to look as appealing as possible on the showroom floor. This usually involves the brightest possible picture settings combined with a blueish tint. Not only does this give you poor picture quality but it may also cause significant damage to your new TV.

Sometimes an installer who delivered the TV will say he adjusted it for best performance. In fact, most installers simply tweak the standard user controls until the display “looks right” but don’t actually calibrate it to any industry standard. Then after the display ages over a few weeks of normal operation, it often looks different again. The only way to get your system to look its best and last the longest is to professionally calibrate it after a short initial aging period.

When TV programs are produced or movies transferred from film to DVD, the entire process is precisely monitored on professional broadcast video monitors which are calibrated to industry standards. Your display (new or old) can accurately reproduce the full original quality of these programs only if it is calibrated to these same industry standards.

Calibration is one of the most effective and least expensive upgrades you can make to your video system. You will see an immediate, significant improvement in the picture quality. Your display will now do full justice to a high quality video signal. It will give you a picture quality approaching or in many cases exceeding that of the local movie theater!

After we professionally calibrate your video display, it will:

  • Produce and maintain a full range of accurate colors
  • Display a sharper focused, full resolution image
  • Be properly matched to your room and viewing environment
  • Last up to twice as long as a display with factory default settings
  • Be easier on your eyes
  • Have a cinema theater “film look”
